First Participation In Handball League

Al-Ain handball team participated for the first time in the first handball league in 76/77 season. The handball league championship was held in two divisions. The second division included Al-Ain, Al-Jazira, Al-Ahli and Al-Shaab. The first-placed and the second-placed teams qualify for the 4 tournament. The Egyptian players Hussein Labib and Hasan Saqr took part with Al-Ain team beside Al-Ain players Hashim Issac, Rabie Ibrahim, Abdul Jasim Darwish, Ibrahim Mukhter, Matar Khalfan, Abdul Naser Ali, Thani Saeed, Khadem Sawa, Khalid Saeed, Saeed Abdulla, and Abdul Rahim Mohammed as well as the team trainer Saeed Abbas. Al-Ain handball team topped their group and qualified with Al-Shaab team to the 4 tournament. From the second group Sharjah and Oman qualified for the 4 tournament.
