Throughout its long history of 35 years since its establishment in 1968 and until 2003 Al-Ain club has witnessed tremendous quantum leaps that have made the club one of the greatest clubs, not at the UAE level only, but at the Gulf, Arab, and Asian levels.

These tremendous quantum leaps would not have taken place without the loyal leaderships who have been in charge of the club from its foundation to the present. The sons of Zayed have played a key role in building up this gigantic monument and laying the criteria and traditions of correct sport and administrative work. Hence, Al Ain club has deservedly occupied the leading position with regard to achievements, championships, sport installations..etc. The excellence and development of Al-Ain club do not stop, but ambition has been increasing with the increase of achievements until dreams have been realized by men who are able to turn dreams into reality. At the head of these great men is His Highness Sheikh/ Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the Honorary President of Al-Ain Club, and His Highness Sheikh/ Sultan Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, and ex-chairman of the club’s board of directors, to be followed, of course, by Staff Lt. Gen. Pilot His Highness Sheikh/ Mohamed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Deputy Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, President of Al-Ain Club, and chairman of the Honorary Board, His Highness Sheikh/ Hamdan Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, His Highness Sheikh/ Hazzaa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Vice-president of Al-Ain Club and vice-chairman of the Honorary Board, His Highness Sheikh/ Abdulla Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Minister of Information & Culture, His Excellency/ Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan, Member of Al-Ain Honorary Board and ex-chairman of the club’s board of directors.

These names are enough for us in order to know the extent of support Al-Ain Club has had during its long history and how it has been fortunate to have these leaderships, and how the leadership of the club has been also fortunate to have this sport monument that has achieved successes and championships until it has become “the Zaim” (the leader) even at the Asian level.

Khalifa Bin Zayed, the Spiritual Father

When we talk about the leaderships of Al-Ain Club and the men who have made the dreams and contributed to the making of the name of Al-Ain Club, we immediately remember the first ”Aayanawi” and the spiritual father of Al-Ain Club, His Highness Sheikh/ Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince.

When we talk about the leaderships of Al-Ain Club and the men who have made the dreams and contributed to the making of the name of Al-Ain Club, we immediately remember the first ”Aayanawi” and the spiritual father of Al-Ain Club, His Highness Sheikh/ Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the Honorary President of Al-Ain Club. Throughout 35-year history of the club the support of His Highness has never ceased one moment. Every stone of this gigantic monument witnesses his unlimited support, and every championship and every achievement made by the sons of Al-Ain admit the key role of His Highness Sheikh/ Khalifa Bin Zayed in the realization of this championship or achievement.

Every “Aayanawi” is indebted to His Highness, and all declare their gratitude and loyalty to His Highness for his boundless support to the club.

From the start of the club, His Highness Sheikh/ Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan rendered all support to the club. His Highness loved Al-Ain Club, and he was loved by all. His Highness backed up the club from its early days. His Highness always gives his counsel to the players and urges them to do their best for raising the name of the club high on every occasion. His counsels have not been in vain, but they have been translated to achievements and championships which helped Al-Ain to occupy the position of leadership.
